The Office of the Town Clerk is the official Record Keeper for the Town of Newcastle. We issue, record, and ensure the safekeeping and preservation of Town Ordinances, Select Board Minutes, Vital Records (Birth, Marriage & Death), Marriage Licenses, and other official documents. The town staff strive to provide courteous and friendly service to Newcastle residents as well as the general public.
The Town Clerk/Registrar coordinates and conducts all elections, maintaining current and accurate voter records, and voter registration. In addition, we also process Bureau of Motor Vehicle registrations; ATV, boat, and snowmobile registrations for Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
The Clerk's Office issues various state and local licenses and permits, which include Liquor Licenses, Hunting & Fishing Licenses, and Dog Licenses.
