General Assistance

General Assistance is administered by the Town of Newcastle per State Statute 22 M.R.S.A. § 4301 et seq. Residents applying for assistance are seen by appointment only during Town Office business hours.  Appointments may be scheduled by calling 563-3441. In an emergency, applicants may contact the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office at 563-3200.
