General Assistance

General Assistance is administered by the Town of Newcastle per State Statute 22 M.R.S.A. § 4301 et seq. Residents applying for assistance are seen by during Town Office business hours, Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm.  For more information regarding General Assistance please call 563-3441.
