State and Municipal Elections are held at the Fire Station located at 86 River Road.  The Town of Newcastle holds their Municipal Election on the 2nd Tuesday in June.  There is usually a State Election on this day as well. The Annual Town Meeting is traditionally held on the following Monday evening. Please do not hesitate to contact the Town office with any questions or concerns. 207-563-3441.

To request an Absentee Ballot the following options are available: 

  • Click this link to request a ballot online- This link is ONLY for State Elections.
  • Call the town office at 207-563-3441  Please keep in mind, the staff will need to talk to each voter individually
  • Click here to print an absentee ballot application
  • Come into the town office and vote in person 
  • Come into the town office and fill out an application to take the ballot out of the office

Voters returning ballots can drop them off at the town office by using the secure dropbox located by the door, mail them to PO Box 386 Newcastle ME 04553, or come into the town office to hand in your ballot in person.

*The town will get the ballots approximately 30 days before the date of the election. Town staff will mail out ballots as soon as possible. Please remember to SIGN THE RETURN ENVELOPE. The signature line will be highlighted on the flap of the envelope.
