Newcastle Deputy Town Clerk - Part Time

The Town of Newcastle is seeking an individual to serve as a Deputy Town Clerk. This is a part time, year-round position consisting of between 20-30 hours per week. Responsibilities include assisting on the counter (processing motor vehicle registrations, collecting taxes, etc), answering public inquiries via phone or email, attending some night meetings to take board/committee minutes, and additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Town Manager. Knowledge of modern office practices and equipment, including computers, ability to organize, file and set priorities a must. Municipal experience preferred. Wages will be based upon experience, but are competitive within the market.
