POLLING LOCATION & TIME State and Local Elections are held at the Newcastle Fire Station, 86 River Road. Municipal Elections are held on the 2nd Tuesday in June, State Election can be held on the same date. State Election time is 8AM - 8PM.
ABSENTEE VOTING
Absentee ballots are available 30 days prior to the election date. Applications are available at least 1 month in advance. We will send notifications on when absentee applications and ballots are available. You can also apply for an absentee ballot through the State of Maine website, the link is provided through our "Services" portal or you can print a application out through our "Applications/Forms" portal.
To return your absentee ballot, you can give it to one of the clerks at the town office, mail it to the town office PO Box, place it in drop box located on the town office building or return it to a ballot clerk on election day. Please make sure to sign your envelope on the required highlighted line before returning your absentee ballot.
