Special Town Meeting

Monday, October 3, 2022 - 7:00pm
In the name of the State of Maine, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Newcastle in said County and State, qualified by law to vote in town affairs, to meet at the Fire Station building at 86 River Rd on 3rd day of October, A.D. 2022 at 7:00 PM, then and there to act upon Article 1 - Article 2 at an in person Special Town Meeting.
ARTICLE 1: To elect a moderator by written ballot to preside at said meeting.
ARTICLE 2: To see if the Town will appropriate $27,559.25 from the part time deputy clerk account and $31,935.31 from the undesignated fund balance for the purpose of establishing the position of Tax Collector / Treasurer and funding the salary and benefits thereof.
